Modular Prefabricated, Post-Disaster Social Housing for Ecuador. This master thesis deals with mono-material connection systems with UPB Boards and establish strategies with a parametric design for the construction of social housing. A good design needs to match with the necessities on a society, and this project wants to cover specifically the necessities at my homeland Ecuador.

Understanding its rationality of design, through its modulation and repetition, its flexibility, through its aggregation’s logics, and its growing possibilities. Identification of open-air spaces between street and houses or backyards, where new functions and new housing typologies can be created.

The beach house for the Hutchinson’s couple, is planned in its distribution and decoration with attention to their calls and needs. I have worked with the Vintage – mid-century styles in a harmonious way and giving a touch of freshness in each of the environments to achieve a beachy feel for its occupants.

The National Government of Ecuador established as a public priority the integral development of the children in Ecuador with the early stimulation and good nutrition. To ensure the compliance of this policy, the strategy used is the construction of the Children’s Centers of Good Living. I was within the team in charge of the supervision, administration and oversight the work done to accomplish the project objectives.

My duties as a site supervisor were carried for six years. First, at the biggest construction company in Ecuador called “Uribe & Schwarzkopf Constructions”. And later on, at a smaller company but as same as high quality constructions called “Nevamar S.A.”

Ecuador is an adherent country to the Antarctic Treaty, so it is possible to carry out scientific studies at this site. The project that I developed is the design of a New Ecuadorian Scientific Research Center in Antarctica.
